Dowling College Says Efforts to Sustain the College Continue

The Dowling College Board of Trustees today announced that the college is currently engaged in sustained strategic negotiations with Global University Systems (GUS) for the purpose of creating an academic partnership that could possibly permit the college to continue operating.

Global University Systems includes international higher education institutions stretching from Vancouver to Singapore, and has a proven ability to turn around the fortunes of colleges buffeted by economic challenges.

All sides are continuing to work around the clock to reach an agreement that will benefit the institution, faculty, employees and most importantly the Dowling students.

It is Dowling's hope that a strategic alliance with Global University Systems can be reached, which will allow for a stronger Dowling.

Any agreements will be subject to legal and regulatory approvals and will comply with all applicable accreditation statutes, as well as local, state and federal law.
