Dowling Alumni have opened a website regarding the saving of the college.

Their mission statement:

"OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE: WE'RE WORKING TO SAVE DOWLING COLLEGE AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!HELP SAVE DOWLING NOW!The Alumni Association of Dowling College wants to be a resource for the current administration and do everything we can to help save our beloved college. Our alumni group has been working for months to help develop options for the school and that work intensified with the surprise closure announcement on May 31, 2016. In addition to recommending the appointment of seven new board members to help provide an infusion of new ideas, we are working to identify the financial resources to put the college on solid financial footing. The college is working to do the same. Active involvement from alumni, including stepped up financial support, will be critical to any successful effort to save Dowling College. We gratefully acknowledge those who have already stepped up and the many who will follow in the days ahead."

The group proposes new leadership for the Board of Trustees:
