INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEOP STUDENTS: You need to start looking up other schools with HEOP and calling them. You should be getting an email from someone at HEOP soon with more details, but basically you need to do this: 1. Call the other HEOP school 2. Follow their instructions for applying. 3. Fill out an HEOP transfer form.
Do this for as many schools as you can. There's limited space at each college. http://www.heopworks.com/ http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/colldev/HEOP/
For anyone who's in HEOP looking to transfer you get four free SUNY schools to apply to.
Hi HEOP students, I received this email. Posting it here in case any of you have not.
MESSAGE FROM HEOP DIRECTORS: It is with great sorrow that Lester and I bid you farewell. We have often said how proud we are to be a part of Dowling College’s Higher Education Opportunity Program, and how much we have loved working with our exceptional HEOP students. We cannot express how sorry we are to see you go, and if we can ever be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact us at dowlingheop@gmail.com or on our Facebook pages. Attached you will find your HEOP transfer form. You will be able to send this form to any HEOP/EOP, SEEK or College Discovery Program in which you are interested. You may also access the website HEOPWorks.com for a list of Opportunity Programs. In addition, Dowling College has made arrangements with Molloy College to help you with this transition. If you log onto to Molloy.edu and follow the Support for Dowling Students link you will find valuable information regarding your transcript, etc. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Warmest regards, Geri and Lester
